A mighty fortress for Humanity has arisen out of the darkness and at it's head sits the mighty King Yulian. Among them is the young Alois, soon to be eighteen and is the chosen candidate to become the great King Yulian's shadow. But there is something about Alois that makes him desire more from life, and he knows that is has something to do with his snow white hair and blazing red eyes. The Icchorians themselves have found the peace they longed for, underground in the great city known as Carpathia. It is here that Layrion has established a no-kill policy for the Humans who have found refuge with them. Their Clan is the first to live alongside Humans in peace, and she intends to make that the new standard for her race to live by - for the sake of her son, Sayifle.
